Sometimes you must be finding ways to keep your child amused and entertained through some indoor activities that also help you make your child creative. Arts and crafts are one of the favorite activities for artistic kids, who love to play with colors. Books, puzzles, board games and television helps kids a great deal to fight there boredom.
Here, I am providing you with some of the most helpful indoor activities which offer hours of fun and enjoyment for you as well as your kid:
1. Ask your child to make a list of around 20 things such as, reading, drawing etc. that he can do by himself. Now, the next time he feels bored present that list in front of him and remind him of the fun tasks that he can do all by himself.
2. Make some drawings of easily recognizable things such as wardrobe, bed etc. on three by five cards. Ask the kid to find the item on that picture where he will find the card leading to the next item.
3. On a winter afternoon, simply fill up your bathtub with hot water and make your children dressed in their swimsuits and some fun in the water.
4. Do not throw away your old mattress instead store it. Whenever your kids feel the urge of jumping and leaping simply spread that mattress in your backyard or garage.
5. You might have noticed wooden cuts of different size and shapes on building sites, carpenters shops etc. You can get them at a very low or no cost and get them sanded and their silvers removed. This way you will have inexpensive building blocks for your child from which he can construct whatever he wishes to.
6. You can also arrange the cushions and pillows on the ground for your toddler to move around so as to develop his motor skills.
7. Give your kid a hand mirror and ask him to look down to it as he walks. This way he will feel as if he is walking on the ceiling.
8. Small, cheap flash lights with rechargeable batteries are a good means to keep your youngster busy. You will find him actively playing games on the walls and the ceiling at night. You can even hold the flashlight and ask him to chase the light on the wall.
9. Place a jug of water and add some food color to it so that you obtain colored water. Your child would love to transfer this colored water from one container to another using eyedroppers.
10. When nothing works, play your home video. Your kid would quietly sit and cherish watch a video that contains pictures of himself and the people he knows.
11. It happens many times that you find your children fights about who would pack the game up. Make an easy rule- The winner has to pack the game up after its over. The child who wins would be happy enough to pick up and put the game away, while the loser can simply slip off the room or exclaim that at least he need not have to put the game away.
